Omniverse Concept
The Omniverse, a hypothetical set of all possible infinite and finite universes comprises everything that exists. At the center of the Omniverse is our Real-Life Universe, where we live and go through our different lives as real-life humans. In an economic viewpoint, outside off our universe are fictional dimensions that we envisioned in our own canon. With the rise of technology boom and the internet, the fictional Omniverse keeps growing with new creations being made.
The Fictional Social Classes
1.) Official/Canon Layer: Creators of various media and pop culture such as anime, video games, live-action movies, and adaptations create fictional universes that are ‘official works’ without fan interference. As always; there are good, mediocre, and bad works. The first of these fictional works are obviously mythologies, religion, playwrights, and fairy tales by our ancestors such as Homer and Shakespeare with many interpretations of why they are

Wonder Woman: Could This Be The DCEU's Redemption?
Greetings fellow DC fans! It's been a long road getting to this point as where the DCEU has been where with Man of Steel, people were polarized over Superman's portrayal where it felt like it was trying way too hard to be more like Batman rather than being the Superman that we all know and love, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is widely panned for its excessive bleakness and pretentiousness and a plot that just doesn't make sense and finally, Suicide Squad has also been panned for being a completely incomprehensible editing mess. Overall, the first three films of the DC Extended Universe were polarizing at best and that they all do have their fair share of defenders, they are also rather infuriating at worst and has also attracted a lot of detractors calling this series off as dead on arrival.
Now we have the fourth installment in the DCEU in the name of Wonder Woman. Briefly introduced in BvS and is widely considered as one of the few redeeming qualities in the film despite how tha

Samurai Jack finished. Really makes my day impactful.

The next personal reflection shall tell about the experiences of the Gundam franchise. Gundam is one of the well known anime franchises that shape pop culture with the real robot genre. It focuses on human political conflicts, space drama, and of course mecha giant robots as the best parts.

I first expose to the Gundam franchise when Gundam Wing is shown on Toonami. I remember I seen some episodes that the anime is shown to be generally serious without any ‘anime humorous expressions’, the story is a bit hard to understand due to its realistic aspects. Though as the first Gundam anime shown in the states, I did remember the characters like Heero Yuy and the iconic Gundams. I even remember Endless Waltz. Then, G Gundam is shown on Toonami and I remember liking the series, its different since it focuses on Gundam tournament fights and the final battles against the Devil Gundam forces (Man, I remember the last episodes with a happy ending on the spot). Fly in the Sky. Shining Finger. I remember these back in 2001 - 2002.

Around 2003-2004, Toonami showed Gundam SEED in what made me fully invest in the Gundam series, the characters and even the music feel memorable (especially the music that I remember listening to it many times before such as TM Revolution (besides Rurouni Kenshin’s opening) and Nami Tamaki). It also makes me first expose to Gundam SEED/Destiny fan websites and Mecha HQ. I follow up the episodes and its summaries and especially for its sequel Destiny. Back when I was young, I remember printing pictures of Gundam SEED/Destiny characters and tape them in my bedroom wall filled with other crossover characters I imagine (I once have old ideas of Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends meeting Gundam SEED, and Lunamaria & Meyrin dress up as Yumi and Ami from HiHi Puffy Ami Yumi). I know that flash forward to 2013-early 2014 is when I rewatch Gundam SEED and Destiny in HD on Youtube and in Japanese. Looking back, Gundam SEED is good, but Destiny has a mix reception due to too many flashbacks in all episodes (SEED has these stock footages, but Destiny took it up to eleven) and other reasons (such as Shinn becoming more whiny as the Gundam franchise’s Anakin.).

Between this and what I’m going to discuss about 00 in moments, I knew briefly of the original Gundam series of the Universal Century while I was skimming through a Gundam official Bandai website. Their old and its when the Gundam franchise originated back in 1979. That is when an old friend of mine named Toby introduce me much properly of the Universal Century. Man, that is a lot of how war of Gundams and conflict originated. Amuro Ray and Char Aznable (alongside Bright Noa), these two are flawed and are some of the best characters that are known to exist. Toby showing this and such as Zeta Gundam and Char’s Counterattack feels like watching archive videos from DVDs. My old friend’s opinion said that the Universal Century wars and stories feel real and scarred in the aftermath while SEED/Destiny feels ‘typical mainstream’ (But then again, SEED/Destiny and other Gundam universes outside of Universal Century do have scarred moments that are just as realistic to relate to the audience). Of course, I remember playing Dynasty Warriors Gundam.

That is when in 2007-2008 is when I was introduce to Gundam 00. This is the first Gundam series that is set in our world with the AD calendar, like a speculated timeline 300 years later. I remember Toby at one point believe that Gundam 00 is like a prequel before the Universal Century, but it doesn’t (despite a ‘What Could Have Been’ idea) since both the Universal Century and Gundam 00 are two separate universes and it is for the best. Sadly, Toby hasn’t catch up to the rest of Gundam 00 and only watched Season 1. Since 00 sets in the AD Calender, it feels it relates better to our generation due to the current War in Terrorism going on in real-life and having Middle Eastern aspects (Yeah, the main character Setsuna F. Seiei is Middle Eastern). It is a spiritual successor of Gundam Wing due to being different from the UC/Cosmic Era. Ending human conflicts with Gundams is an interesting idea. Celestial Being is an inspiration back in my teen years. Gundam Meister, I once had a fun (yet embarrassing) alias of it in my high school years. I remember I use to draw amateurish fanart of Gundam 00 related stuff that most of this I cringed of being such a young amateur. Haha. Believe me, I have a lot of hype of Gundam 00. This is when Gundam 00, all the seasons and the series finale movie (making the first Gundam series that has actual aliens, and the battles are that intense) is like the peak of my Gundam interest. Watching the movie in English dub is a rite of passage between a high school graduate and into higher education.

Even so, I remember watching Gundam Unicorn of the Universal Century and have love it, so wish I want to watch it again. Then I remember watching Gundam AGE, there are three arcs with each generation, I thought the second one is slightly improving, only that the final arc fell flat to rock bottom (I stopped and dropped AGE altogether after seeing the first episode of the final arc due to how eventually Gundam AGE is one of the worst things seen in life, at least by comparing to Digimon Young Hunters that its a little better than AGE’s final arc).

It seems I take a break of the Gundam franchise for a long time. But this year I have rewatch the Gundam 00 series with its awesomeness, me having a mature perspective since post-college graduation and to celebrate the 10th anniversary (2007 - 2017) (and why I’m writing this journal in the first place). Sounds to me that I have consideration of wanting to check out Gundam Iron Blooded Orphans in English dub.
